DAL TIKKIS WITH DIP


INGREDIENTS
for tikki
tuvar dal  1 soaked and ground to a thick paste
oil 1 tsp + for frying
salt to taste
garam masala  1/2 tsp
onion finely chopped  2 tbsp
chilli-ginger paste  1 tbsp
spinach chopped  1 cup
coriander leaves chopped  1 tbsp
curd  1 tsp
besan 2-3 tsp
rava  1 tbsp

for dip
roast 3 green chillies
ginger  2 tsp chopped
garlic pearls  2-3 optional
coriander leaves  chopped 1-2 tbsp
jeera roasted  1 tsp
sugar  1 tsp
curd 2-3 tbsp
salt to taste

METHOD
in a pan ,heat 1 tsp oil, add the crushed dal paste, keep frying on low flame till dry
remove, add rest of the ingredients for tikki, mix well, if too sticky, add more besan and rava
make tikkis, roll in bread crumbs, shallow fry on a tawa till brown on both sides
serve hot with dip
for dip, in a pestle, grind first chilli, garlic, ginger, then add coriander leaves, salt, sugar, jeera, grind to a coarse paste, mix with curds
serve the tikkis with the dip
