MOONG DAL-POTATO STUFFED GUJJIAS/SOMASI

INGREDIENTS
for stuffing
ghee  1 tbsp
jeera  1/2 tsp
green moong dal cooked  1 cup( it should be dry & well cooked)
potato boiled, peeled & mashed  1/2 cup
coconut grated  1 cup
salt to taste
sugar 1 tsp
chaat masala  1/2 tsp
green chillies chopped to taste
lime juice  1 tsp
dhania chopped  2 tbsp

for covering
maida  1 cup
rava/ suji   1 tbsp
salt little
ghee  2 tbsp
add enough water to the above ingredients to make a soft dough, cover & keep aside for 10 minutes

oil for frying

METHOD
heat ghee in a pan, add jeera, once it browns, add chillies fry well, add cooked dal, coconut, potato & rest of the spices, except lime juice & dhania, mix well, cook till dry
add lime juice, dhania, mix well, keep aside to cool
make small puris from the dough, put enough stuffing, fold into half-circle, seal the edges well with water, or you can keep folding the edges or cut it with somasi cutter
make all somasi in the same way, deep fry in hot oil till golden brown on both sides, drain well
serve with chutney of your choice.

ps- to make it healthy- use atta, add ghee, make dough, then after stuffing, brush the samosis with ghee & bake in hot oven at 180 deg. C for 10-15 minutes or till the top is light brown. so no oil from frying, lots of proteins from dal, Vitamin E from coconut, lime juice, green chillies & dhania-Vitamin C
