STUFFED PURI DAL

INGREDIENTS

for dal
oil  1 tbsp
jeera  1/2 tsp
hing  1/4 tsp
tuvar/ arhar dal cooked  1/2 cup
water  1/4 cup
salt to taste
chilli pdr.  1/2 tsp
haldi  1/4 tsp

heat oil in a pan, add jeera, once it crackles, add hing, after few seconds, add dal, water, mix well, adding salt, chilli pdr. and haldi, let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, remove, cool, keep aside

stuffing
potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed  1/2 cup
chana dal boiled, drained  2 tbsp
garam masala  1/2 tsp
haldi  1/4 tsp
chilli-ginger paste  1 tsp
salt to taste
mix all microwave for 2 minutes   OR
heat 1 tsp oil, fry haldi, paste, well, add chana dal, potatoes, salt, mix well, remove, cool


Puri
maida  1 cup
suji  2 tbsp
oil 1 tsp
salt little
mix all well, add water to make a stiff dough

make small thick puris, fry them in hot oil till puffed up and golden, drain well and keep aside
poke the puris in the middle puffed up part, put the stuffing, then top with dal, then green chutney, sweet chutney, chopped onion, dhania, serve at once  OR
keep puris, stuffing, dal, chopped onion, dhania all ready, just before serving, assemble it or puris will get soggy.
to make it easy to eat, make very small puris, which can be eaten easily
