Ingredients
bottle gourd about 1/2 kg peeled and cut in small pieces
green chillies 2 slit or chopped fine, as this is healthier, as people will eat the chilli!
salt to taste
oil 1 tsp
milk 1/2 litre
METHOD
in a pan, heat oil, saute green chillies for a minute, add bottle gourd, fry for few minutes, cook with milk till done, add salt, remove, garnish with chopped coriander leaves, serve hot with rice/ roti.
ps- bottle gourd is good for diabetic people, low in calories, high in fibre, when cooked like this, it becomes nutritious, as milk has calcium, chillies are a good source of Vitamin C, so chillies can be chopped fine and used, as then people will not waste it, but eat it.
