IDLI BONDA

INGREDIENTS

left over idli batter thick  2 cups
salt (if not in the batter) to taste
onion sliced   1 cup or 1 big onion
green chillies finely chopped 2-3
ginger finely 1 tsp.
carrot finely grated   2 tbsp + for garnishing
coriander leaves  2 tbsp
rice flour 2-3 tbsp as needed
oil for frying
curry leaves 2 sprigs finely chopped
asafoetida pdr.

METHOD

mix idli batter, with salt, onion, curry leaves, green chillies, ginger, onion, carrot, well, then add rice flour to get a thick consistency, little asafoetida pdr.
the batter should be thick, almost like for vada.
heat oil, take little batter in your hand, make small balls drop in hot oil carefully, fry till golden brown.
serve hot with any chutney, it can eaten plain also.
to garnish, in a platter, you can put some fine sev, place the bondas, put some grated carrots around, some coriander leaves on top.
