EGGLESS APPLE-PINEAPPLE-CHERRY CRUMBLE

INGREDIENTS
For filling
green cooking apples  4 peeled & roughly chopped
pineapple slices   2 chopped into small pieces( can be tinned)
cherries   10-15 ( can be tinned)
cinnamon stick 1" or 1 tsp powder
butter  1 tbsp
corn flour little
castor sugar 1 tbsp

METHOD
in a pan, heat butter, add apples, cinnamon stick/pdr. toss for some time with sugar.
add sliced pineapple, mix well
sprinkle cornflour little all around, to observe the excess moisture
add cherries, mix well, let it cool slightly.
ps- if pineapple & cherries are tinned, then it will have sugar, then you can omit adding sugar.

For crumble
all purpose flour   150 gm
brown sugar    50 gm
butter   20 gm
mix all together, keeping roughly 10 gm of brown sugar to sprinkle on top.

To Assemble
in a baking dish, sprinkle lightly crumble mixture covering fully the bottom of the dish
spread the filling all over
sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture evenly on top
sprinkle the remaining brown sugar on top evenly.
bake in a preheated oven at 180 deg. C for 15-20 minutes, till the top is a nice brown in colour.
you can serve it warm with some cream/ plain, can even serve it cold, it tastes delicious anyway.

When my kids were younger, I used to make this often in winter, as apples were easily available in India, & they'ld love it warm, if anything at all was left over, it will be heated the next day. But, at that time, I used only apples, normal sugar, instead of brown sugar.

so the choice is yours, about adding other fruits, or with only apples, either way, it will be a big hit with the family. Make sure that there is something left for you to taste too !
