Bread & butter pudding


Bread & butter pudding
  
Bread 8 slices              milk 1 ½ cups      cream ½ cup       sugar 4 tbsp              softened  butter 4 tbsp
pinch each of nutmeg & cinnamon         raisins 1 ½ tbsp             nuts 1 ½ tbsp            eggs 3    

method
1)      coat the bottom of the baking dish with 1 tbsp of melted butter.
2)      Butter bread both sides, trim & discard the crust.
3)      Mix together, nuts, raisins, & the spices.
4)      In a bowl, beat eggs till frothy.
5)      Whisk in milk, sugar & cram.
6)      Place half the bread in the bottom of the dish.
7)      Spread half the dry fruits on it.
8)      Add another layer of bread, sprinkle the remaining dry fruits on it.
9)      Pour the milk mixture. Set aside for 20- 25 minutes or until the milk soaks in.
10)  Place the dish in a pre-heated oven  & bake at 180 deg C for about 35 minutes or till done, or the top is crisp & golden.
