Yam/ jaminkhand cutlets

INGREDIENTS

yam cooked and mashed   300 gm
ginger-chilli-garlic paste   2 tsp
crushed peanuts   2 tbsp
lime juice   1 tbsp
sugar pdr.   1 tbsp
salt to taste
sesame seeds   1 tbsp
hing/asafoetida   little
corn flour little
grated coconut
nuts and raisins little
oil for shallow frying

METHOD

mix yam, with ginger-garlic-chilli paste, salt, lime juice, sugar pdr., hing well
add coconut and crushed peanuts, mix well
take small amount of the dough, stuff little nuts and raisins in the middle
roll and shape into cutlets
heat a pan, grease it lightly, coat cutlets in cornflour, roll in til, shallow fry till brown on both sides
serve hot with green chutney/ sweet chutney
