BANANA FLOWER VADAS

INGREDIENTS

banana flower  1 small
chana dal   3/4 cup
moong dal  1/4 cup
urad dal   1/4 cup
coriander pdr.  2 tsp
cumin  pdr.  1 tsp
turmeric pdr.  1/4 tsp
chilli pdr.  1/2 tsp
ginger-garlic paste   1 tsp
green chillies finely chopped  4-5 or as per taste
onion 1 big finely chopped
coriander leaves finely chopped   2-3 tbsp
salt to taste
oil for cooking

METHOD

clean the banana flower by removing the thick stalk in the centre of each flower
finely chop the flower and soak in buttermilk and water mixed
soak the dals over night and grind them in a blender coarsely
mix the chopped flower, add green chillies, onion,all masalas and salt
heat oil in a pan/ kadai, make small vadas, deep fry till golden brown
drain well, serve hot with sauce/ chutney
