Rice-onion crisp vadai

Instructions

Soak chana dal in water for 10 mins and keep aside.
In a bowl add rice flour, and add salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, ginger garlic paste, thinly sliced onions and sliced green chili.
Then, add roasted and crushed peanuts, sesame seeds, curry leaves, soaked chana dal and mix everything. Sprinkle water in between while mixing and make a dough.
On a plastic sheet place the rice flour dough and pat it and spread it thin
Make holes in between the dough with fingers , place in hot tawa pour the oil in the holes and fry in medium heat for 10 mins.
Flip and fry it for 5 more minutes and serve hot.
 
If the  tawa is big, you can make 2-3 more thin vadai, serve hot. A nice snack to have with tea/ coffee in the afternoon.
