Potato Bonda

Ingredients

potatoes  250 gm
onion  50 gm
green chillies finely chopped  1 tsp
ginger finely chopped  1 tsp
turmeric pdr.  1/4 tsp
mustard seeds  1/2 tsp
curry leaves few
besan  50 gm
soda bicarb a pinch
salt to taste
hing  1/4 tsp
lime juice 2 tsp
water as needed
oil to fry

Method
boil, peel and mash the potatoes
heat oil, add mustard seeds, one it crackles, add curry leaves and hing, onion, ginger, chillies, fry till onion is transparent, add turmeric , potatoes, salt, mix well
remove, add lime juice, mix well, cool, make small balls
make a batter with besan, salt, soda bicarb
dip the balls in the batter and deep fry in hot oil till golen brown
drain well, serve hot with coconut chutney
