EASY RAISINS- NUT BISCUITS/ COOKIES

INGREDIENTS

all purpose flr/ maida  200 gm
baking pdr.  1/2 tsp
butter 100 gm
sugar  50 gm
raisins chopped small 2 tbsp
almonds chopped small   2 tbsp
orange rind  1 tsp
vanilla essence  1 tsp
little milk

METHOD

mix flour & baking pdr. well in a small bowl & keep aside
in a bigger bowl, beat together butter & sugar well
add the dry ingredients, mix well, vanilla essence, orange rind, mix well
if need be add little milk( 3-4 tsp) so that you're able to bring all the ingredients together like a dough, not stiff, nor sticky
shape into a log, refrigerate it for about 20 minutes, well wrapped
remove, cut into strips, keep on greased plate
when you pre-heat oven, don't heat the plate as the biscuits will melt too quickly
bake at 150 deg. C for 20-25 minutes, till they're light brown.
serve warm/ cold. this can be preserved in airtight containers, if they last !
