ALMONDS-RAISINS BISCUIT/ cookies

INGREDIENTS

maida/all purpose flour   200 gm
butter  100 gm
castor sugar   50 gm
baking pdr.   1/2 tsp
vanilla essence/extract  1 tsp
almonds sliced or coarsely crushed  1 tbsp
raisins chopped   1 tbsp
milk little
orange rind  1 tsp

METHOD

in a bow mix flour & baking pdr. well.
in another bigger bowl, beat sugar & butter well
mix the dry ingredients well with it
add raisins, almonds, rind, essence, mix well.
knead all together now with your hand, add milk if needed 2-3 tsp.
the dough shouldn't be too sticky nor too dry
now form into a log, wrap well, refrigerate for 15-20 minutes
take it out from the fridge, unwrap it, cut into 1/2" thick slices
keep in a greased baking tray
bake in preheated oven at 150 deg. C for 20-25 minutes.

NOTE- don't heat the baking tray, whenever you make biscuits, the tray shouldn't be heated.
this can be stored in airtight container for 7-10 days.
