PROTEIN RICH URAD DAL PURI

INGREDIENTS

urad dal soaked for 4 hours 1/4 cup
whole wheat flour 1 cup or more as required
ginger 1"
green chilies to taste
salt to taste
hing little
water if needed to make dough
coriander pdr. 1tsp
jeera pdr. 1/2 tsp
oil to fry

METHOD
grind dal with ginger and green chilies to a fine paste by adding just enough water to make thick batter
in a bowl add flour, salt, hing, coriander and jeera powders, 1tbsp oil, add the ground paste, mix well
if need be put little water in the grinder and add to flour to make stiff dough. 
roll into puris, deep fry in hot oil, drain well, serve hot with vege with gravy and pickle if you like.

ps- though fried, this is healthy, as it is rich in proteins, carbs,and our body needs some fats to digest fat soluble vitamins, eaten with veges, we get minerals and fibre too.
