FIG HALWA



INGREDIENTS
Sugar 4 tbsp
Water little
Ghee 1 tbsp
Walnut ½ cup
Figs ½ cup
 Roasted Suji / semolina 2 tbsp
Mawa / thickened milk ½ cup

METHOD
Add sugar and just enough water to cover in a pan, boil stirring till sugar melts
Then let it simmer for 3 minutes, keep aside
Put walnuts in a micro-safe plate for 1 ½ minutes, stirring after every 30 seconds. Cool and coarsely powder it
In a pan add ghee, fry figs which were soaked for 2 hours and crushed to a paste with little milk, once it is well fried, add roasted suji, mix well, cook for 2 minutes, add mawa, mix well, cook for another 2 minutes, then add crushed walnuts and sugar syrup, cook stirring till thick and dry, remove, serve garnished with some nuts on top.
