RUM AND RAISIN SAUCE

INGREDIENTS

raisins   1 cup
water   1 cup
cloves    6
brown sugar   1 cup
corn flour   1tsp
salt & pepper pdr.   1/4 tsp each
butter   2 tbsp
vinegar  1 tbsp
rum   1/4 cup

METHOD

in a saucepan, simmer raisin, water, cloves for 10 minutes.
mix sugar, cornflour, salt & pepper  in a little water & stir in
cook till sauce thickens, add butter, vinegar, heat well.
remove from fire  & stir in rum.
