chappati layer cake
Flour 100 gm
Eggs 4
Sugar 25 gm
Nuts 25 gm
Raisins 25 gm
Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
Sugar candy 2 tbsp
Ghee 50 ml
Milk ¾ cup
Rose water 1 tsp
Cardamom pdr ½ tsp
Method
Knead the flour with salt & water to a soft dough.
Divide into 6 equal balls.
Roll out thin chappatis of the same size.
Heat a tawa & cook the chappati lightly on both sides (
don’t over cook), remove.
Make all in the same way, wrap it or keep it covered from
drying up.
Fry poppy seeds dry.
Fry nuts & raisins in a little ghee to golden brown.
Beat eggs well with sugar, add rose water & cardamom
pdr.
Take a thick bottomed vessel in which chappatais can fit.
Grease the vessel with melted ghee.
Take each chappati, soak it in milk for a second, then dip
it in the beaten egg.
Put this in the vessel, one above the other, by sprinkling
some nuts, raisins, sugar candy & egg mixture.
Pour the remaining egg & sprinkle remaining nuts, raisins, poppy seeds &
sugar candy lavishly.
Pour the remaining ghee all over & bake till brown on
top.
