MOONGDAL HALWA



INGREDIENTS
Moong dal soaked for 1 hour   1 cup
Ghee ½ cup
Sugar ¾ cup
Milk  1 cup
Nuts and raisins
Cardamom pdr. ½ tsp
Saffron strands few

METHOD
Grind the soaked dal a little coarsely.
Heat ghee in a heavy pan/ kadai/ non-stick pan, add the ground dal, fry well till a nice aroma comes over medium flame.
Add ½ cup milk, sugar, nuts and raisins cook till sugar dissolves.
Add saffron strands, another ½ cup milk, cook on medium flame stirring for another 5-7 minutes till dry, add cardamom pdr., mix well. Serve hot with some nuts.
