Besan Barfi

 Ingredients
1 cup besan
1 cup suji
1 cup ghee
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup milk powder
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
3-4 drops yellow food colour (optional )


For sugar Syrup :
2 cup sugar
1 cup water


Method

In a heavy pan, add ghee 1 cup, add suji, keep frying , stirring continuously for 3-4 minutes

add besan, keep stirring continuously till it changes colour and the ghee comes out of the mixture

add keep little at a time, keep mixing well, keep adding milk and stirring till all the milk is used up.

switch off the gas, mix well, add milk pdr/ mawa and food colour if you're using, mix well 

in another pan add sugar and water, mix well, keep stirring on and off, keep cooking for 3-4 minutes, cook till 1 string syrup

add syrup little at a time to the besan mixture and keep stirring well, then add more  syrup after each addition of syrup, as you keep stirring well, it will get thick and leave the sides of the pan, pour it on a

greased a plate that you've kept ready, spread the mixture, level, spread some chopped nuts on top, lightly press it down.

 allow the mixture to cool and set, which takes about 3-4 hours, then cut into desired shape.
