Shrikhand is a popular Indian dessert
made from hung yogurt, known for its creamy texture and sweet
flavour. It is particularly associated with the cuisine of Maharashtra
and Gujarat but is enjoyed throughout India. It is eaten mainly with Puris. Some love eating it plain like a dessert !
Ingredient
- Curd
- Sugar
- Chironji
- Cardamom pdr
How to Make
- Put the curd on a thin cloth and hang it overnight over the sink for the liquid to drain from it
- Churn the hung curd with sugar and allow it to rest for 2-3 hours
- Flavour with cardamom powder and nutmeg.
- Garnish with Chironji
Note:for flavours you can add mango puree, then use less sugar, or strawberry puree or any other fruit you like and you may add any nuts of your choice.
