Rice- leftover rice should be kept immediately after eating when still hot in the fridge. It should be finished within 24 hours by reheating it completely.
Potatoes- If potatoes are left to cool at room temperature, then there is good chance of it being contaminated by Clostridium botulinum, which is very dangerous and can even cause death. Soon after cooking and eating food, when still hot/ warm potatoes should be kept in the fridge and it should be consumed within 48 hours. It should be thoroughly heated before eating.
Chicken/ Meat - Both chicken and meat have good protein. By chance it is leftover, the protein value can change in them. If leftover meat/ chicken is there that it should be heated to high temperature well or else, there is chance of getting salmonella or E-coli bacteria can thrive in them.
Leftover chicken / meat should be consumed within 3 days at most. Make sure that you heat them from all sides in the same temperature well, to avoid any contamination.
Eggs- boiled or fried eggs should be kept in the fridge as early as possible after eating. Make sure you warm it well at high temperature by cooking and turning on all sides.
Spinach / green leafy vegetables- these veges have nitrates, when reheated they change into nitrogen dioxide, which isn't good for health. As far as possible eat the green veges fresh, don't store for long either.
