How To Make Your Own Reusable Wax Wrap Food Covers

If you like us are looking for alternate ways to protect your food, the idea we are sharing may be just what you are looking for.
We were excited to discover that you can make your own reusable wax wrap food covers from a few simple items. Imagine the money you will save and no more plastic wrap hitting the trash can.

First cover your baking sheet with a tin foil. The size that you wants to make depends on the food that you want to protect. In case, your foil doesn't cover the entire tray, add another strip wherever needed, as it is better not to get the beeswax on the tray.
Pre-heat oven at 150 deg. C, then put the covered with beeswax for 10-12 seconds.
In your coffee grinder, put beeswax, then pulse it and keep aside.
Get a good clean linen or cotton fabric, lay it on the table, then depending on the size of the cover your need, take a lid of that size, to draw a circle on the cloth, cut it around
Place the cut circle of cloth on the foil, sprinkle the ground beeswax all around, keep it in the oven for 10-12 seconds till the wax has melted, then remove it, shake it well, dry it, it will get stiffened in no time. To cover your dish, put the cloth over it, then press it the sides, if you want, you may secure with a string or rubber-band.
In case after rolling your sandwiches or roti, you feel, the wrap has become little smelly, put it in the pre-heated oven for about 10 seconds to kill the germs, it can be reused n number of times.

This will also make beautiful gifts to your friends and everyone can do our own small bit of not throwing more plastics and destroying our environment.
