QUICK RED GRAVY WITH VEGETABLE OF YOUR CHOICE

Women are now hard-pressed for time. We want to make nutritious , tasty foods without much trouble. While most of the North-Indian gravies have long procedures, many find it difficult to spare so much time in the kitchen to make elaborate dishes. So, now without much effort, you can get the same taste !

Ingredients for gravy
oil  1tbsp
ginger 1"
garlic perals 4-5
onion 1 big cut
dry red chilies 3-4 or as per taste
tomatoes big 3 diced
cashew nuts 10-12
water 1/2 cup
In a pressure cooker/ pan, heat oil, fry garlic, and then ginger, add onion fry for 2-3 minutes along with chilies, add tomatoes, nuts, water, mix well, cover and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
Once pressure has released, remove whistle and carefully open the cooker, blend to a smooth paste, either with a hand blender or mixer.

FOR SEASONING
oil 2 -3 tsp
baby potatoes, washed, peeled and again washed well, pricked well all around about 10
salt 1/4 tsp
turmeric pdr. 1/2 tsp
chili pdr. 1/4 tsp
coriander pdr. 1/2 tsp
garam masala pdr. 1/2 tsp
kitchen king masala 1tsp
water as desired
salt to taste\cream 1 tbsp
boiled peas 1/2 cup
coriander leaves 1 tbsp

In a pan/ kadai, heat 2 tbsp oil, add salt, add baby potatoes, fry well till light brown, drain and keep in the serving bowl
in a small bowl, mix all the seasoning powders except salt, add to the hot oil, if need be add little oil, fry for a minute, add water 2 tbsp, add the blended paste, salt, add more water, peas, potatoes, half the quantity of dhania leaves, mix well, simmer for 3-4 minutes.
serve hot garnishing with remaining dhania with hot rice/ pulao/ roti/ bread toast/ dosai.
