Radish-chana dal subji

Ingredients
Radish diced 4 cups           radish leaves chopped 1 cup       oil 3 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp      a pinch of asafetida     onions sliced ¼ cup         garlic minced 1 tsp         
Chana dal soaked 1 cup    salt to taste      green chilies chopped 4-5          turmeric pdr ¼ tsp
Grated coconut ¼ cup

Method
Heat oil & add mustard seeds. When they stop crackling , add asafetida, onions, garlic, green chilies. Sauté then till soft. Add chana dal, turmeric pdr & salt. Sauté for a minute & add ¼ cup water. Cook on low heat till dal is half cooked. Add radish pieces & the leaves. Cover & cook on low heat till done. Mix in grated coconut & serve hot.
