Millet Halwa

Ingredients

millet flour  1 cup/ ragi flour
sugar  1 cup
ghee  1/2 cup
cashew nuts few finely chopped
raisins few
grated coconut  2 tbsp
cardamom pdr.  1/2 tsp

Method
fry cashews and raisins in a little ghee, drain well and keep aside
in the same pan, add the flour and fry on low flame stirring continuously till a nice aroma comes
add 2 cups water and sugar, mix well, seeing that no lumps are there
cook on low flame till it thickens, adding coconut
mix roasted nuts, raisins and cardamom pdr. well
remove, serve hot or cold

if you use ragi, it gives you enough iron and calcium, good for health, if you reduce the amount of ghee you use.
