Healthy oats appam

oats appam recipe 

INGREDIENTS

2 cups roasted oats, powdered
2 cups dahi / curd
½ cup water
½ tsp salt
Finely chopped onion, tomato, capsicum, carrot, and coriander leaves
1 tsp olive oil

How to prepare:

  1. Mix the powdered oats and curd together in a bowl, and keep it aside for 20-25 minutes
  2. After 20-25 minutes, add water to make a batter with thick yet runny consistency
  3. Add all the chopped vegetables, salt to taste, and mix everything properly
  4. Heat the appam maker, and grease the pan
  5. Now, pour the batter carefully in the appam maker and cover it with a lid. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Flip the appam, and cook on the other side as well
  7. Serve hot with coconut or green chutney

This snack is not only healthy, but will keep you full for a long time.  Plus the veggies and curd help with improved digestion, and oats, as we all know, are a good source of carbohydrates and fibre!
