Semolina / Rava-onion adai

Adai ready to eat

Adai is something like a pancake ! We make with different ingredients.

INGREDIENTS
rava/ semolina as needed
buttermilk / curd + water as needed
salt to taste
onion finely chopped 1 big ( optional)
green chilies finely chopped to taste
curry leaves a sprig finely chopped
oil for shallow frying

METHOD
mix rava, buttermilk, salt, onion, chilies, curry leaves, mix well, keep aside for 20-30 minutes
mix again, if the batter is too thick, add more buttermilk or water to get the correct consistency, it should not be too thick, nor like dosa batter.
Heat a tawa, smear little oil, pour a big ladle of batter, spread not too thin, put little oil on top and in the sides, cook on medium heat, once brown, turn over and cook till done, adding more oil if needed.
Serve hot with milagai podi / gum powder or any chutney of your choice.
