Ingredients
makhana / fox nuts 1 cup
jaggery 1/4 cup
ghee 1 tsp
butter paper
water little
Preparations
Heat a teaspoon of ghee, add makhana and roast until crisp for about 3-5 minutes.
Add jaggery to a pan. Add water to it. Boil until completely dissolved. Let the syrup boil. To check the consistency, take some cold water in a plate and add a drop of jaggery syrup to the water. The jaggery should stand firm and should not dissolve. It should get gathered and rolled to form a loose ball.
Add the roasted makhana and give a quick mix until evenly coated. Switch off the heat.
Spread the makhana on a tray lined with butter paper and allow it to cool for a few minutes, and enjoy a healthy snack!
