How to clean greasy kitchen appliances

The sight of your kitchen sink filled with greasy utensils can make you feel worried. Cleaning this mess is a daunting task. It is important to clean all kitchen utensils after use in order to get rid of stubborn stains which may toughen as you leave them. There is no need to buy cleaners loaded with chemicals that ultimately make way into your food. You can surprisingly make most homemade cleaners with key ingredients hiding in your pantry. Here is a list of some easy tips to help you get rid of these stubborn oil stains more easily and with non-chemical ingredients.

Ash, lemon and vinegar

The easiest way to make your copper vessels shine again is by making a paste using ash, lemon and vinegar. Now rub this paste over the vessels and wash the utensils with hot water. You may also leave the utensil with the paste for 2-3 minutes for better results.

Vinegar

Vinegar does not smell nice, but it works as a perfect cleaner! It is a great remedy to get rid of greasy stains from your kitchen utensils. Make a mixture of water and vinegar in a ratio of 2:1 and soak the greasy utensils into it for a few minutes. Take utensils out and wipe the grease with a scrubber.

Salt

Sprinkle a small amount of salt over the stains, and let the salt soak up the grease. For better results, you can also mix salt with rubbing alcohol in 1:4 ratio, and rub it thoroughly on the stained sticky utensils. Once you are done with rubbing, wipe away the mess with a cotton cloth.

Rice water

Rice water is incredibly effective in removing stubborn oil stains. Soak the greased kitchen ware in rice water for 5-10 minutes. Take them out and wash with hot water and wipe dry.

Hot water

One of the easiest way to clean a greased pan is by filling the pan with hot water and then adding 5-10 drops of lemon juice to it. After 10 minutes, wash off the utensil with a detergent powder.

Corn starch and water

A paste of corn starch and water can help in removing stubborn oily stains. Apply the paste with the help of a damp cloth on the greased utensils and then rub it vigorously. Now wash it off with lukewarm water and repeat the process once again if needed

Vegetable oil

You will be surprised to know but it is true. To get rid of a stubborn grease from your kitchen utensils, take a paper towel and pour a little bit of vegetable oil in it, add a few grains of salt and sugar and rub this paper towel on the the greasy area of the utensils. And you’ll see that the stains have vanished!

Coconut fiber, vinegar and detergent

Combine a few drops of vinegar in water and soak the utensils in the solution for a few minutes. Take utensils out and wipe the grease thoroughly with detergent and coconut fiber.

Lemon

Lemon with baking soda is a great combination to create a new grease remover. Lemon is a natural bleach that has the ability to clean greased kitchen utensils. When combined with baking soda, lemon not only removes excess oil but also makes the utensils shine.


Baking soda

Baking soda can be used to clean up stubborn mess on utensils. Sprinkle some baking soda on the cleaning sponge before using it on the utensils. Wipe down the greasy surface by adding a little warm water.
