Spinach nuts sandwich

Ingredients for stuffing

spinach washed and chopped  1 big bowl
green chilli paste 1 tsp
jeera/ cumin  1 tsp
oil 2 tsp
salt to taste
pepper pdr. to taste

for covering
besan/ chickpea flour 1/2 cup
water as needed to make a thin paste
turmeric pdr.  1/4 tsp
green chilli paste  1 tsp
hing/asafoetida  1/4 tsp

for sandwich
brown bread as needed
butter as needed
mayonaisse
grated cheese
almonds, walnuts, cashew nuts all coarsely  powdered about 1/2 cup
oil for shallow frying

Method
in a pan, heat oil, add jeera, once it crackles, add spinach, green chilli paste, cook till dry, add salt and pepper powder to taste, remove and cool
spread butter on slice of bread, on the 2nd slice, spread mayonaisse
spread spinach filling on one slice, spread nuts, grated cheese, cover with another slice
repeat with other slices
then cut into triangle, dip each triangle in the besan batter, heat a tawa, spread some oil, place the coated sandwiches, cook on medium heat till both sides turn brown, serve hot with ketchup.
