Ingredients
Moong dal 1 cup
Bread 6-8 slices
Onion 1 finely chopped
green chilies finely chopped to taste
capsicum 1 finely chopped
coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tbsp
salt to taste
red chili pdr to taste
turmeric pdr 1/4 tsp
garam masala ½ tsp
ginger finely chopped 1 tsp
Preparations
wash n soak dal
drain n grind to a smooth paste
add the spices, veges, mix well
the mixture should be thick
spread it on a lightly buttered slice, cut the slice into triangles, spread some sesame seeds on top lightly press it down.
heat a tawa with some butter/ ghee/ oil
put the bread spread with dal on the top, as the bottom gets slightly toasted, spread some butter/ ghee on top of the spread, then flip it carefully, let it get cooked, covered on low flame for 3-4 minutes or till done.
Serve the toast hot with mint/ coriander chutney, sweet and spicy tamarind chutney or ketchup as desired.
This breakfast will be filling and keep you going fine till lunch time, as it has protein, vitamins, fiber. To complete your meal, have a fruit smoothie or eat a fruit and a glass of milk.
