Ribbon pakodam without the pakodam press !

Right now staying in US, daughter wanted pakodam, but her press to make it is missing, so no problem, I made the same by making the dough almost like roti dough, rolled it flat, then cut into strips and deep fried as usual. Not bad for shapes or taste !

Ingredients
rice flour   3 cups
besan  1 cup
salt and chilli pdr. to taste
hing little
ghee about 3 tbsp
water to mix
oil for frying

Method
in a big bowl, mix the flours, salt, chilli pdr. hing well, add ghee, mix well
then add water to make a soft pliable dough like for roti
 take a big sweet lemon size dough , roll it thin on a plastic sheet
then cut into thin strips, cut horizontally also
heat oil, once hot, put the strips in oil and deep fry till brown and crisp
cool well, then store in an air-tight container.
