Chickpeas( kabuli chana)- rice fritters

I had boiled some chickpeas for hubby to eat as a snack, after seasoning it. Somehow, he isn't very fond of it like whole green moong dal, if that is boiled and seasoned, it will be over very soon ! But as nutrient in each varies, also as chickpeas has more fiber and protein, I prefer him to eat all types of foods, so he gets various nutrients. But he is very fussy ! So,, the next option for me is how to use it. So, this afternoon, tea time snack was fritters made with it rice and onion !

INGREDIENTS
boiled chickpeas( kabuli chana)  1/2 cup
cooked rice 1/2 cup
onion 1 big finely chopped
green chilies 2 finely chopped or as per taste
curry leaves few finely chopped
salt to taste
rice flour  1-2 tbsp
besan  1 tbsp
hing little
oil for frying

METHOD
in a bowl, mash the chickpeas well, or you can do in a mixer jar too. then add rice, mash well
add the finely chopped onion, chilies, salt mix well, don't add any water, if need be add rice flour and besan, mix well
heat oil, once hot, make fritters/ pakoras in whatever shape you fancy, deep fry till brown on both sides, drain and serve hot. It can be eaten plain, ir with chutney/ ketchup as you fancy.

NOTE-
those who don't eat onion, may add some finely chopped cabbage, chilies and proceed in the same way. In case you don't have left-over rice, then use rice flour and besan, to get it crisp, you may add little cornflour or fine suji/ semolina. 
Those who eat garlic, may add few garlic cloves finely chopped.
Hubby loved it, ate quite a few, he didn't realise what it was made with, normally before eating, he'll always ask what are the ingredients !
