Yam Raita

Ingredients

yoghurt   250 gm
yam boiled, peeled and mashed   100 gm
green chillies  2 finely chopped
pepper pdr. 1/4 tsp or to taste
salt to taste
roasted jeera/ cumin pdr.  1/2 tsp

Whisk curd, add mashed yam, seasonings, mix well.
garnish with cumin pdr.
serve cold with parantha/ pulao/ biryani

ps= you can use any variety of yam
a cup of yam contains  5.3 gm of fibre
yam also contains potassium, which strengthens muscles and Vitamins A and C, iron, good amounts of B Vitamins, esp. B6, which protect blood vessels and the heart.
